Skull Art Reflection
In Art 1 we learn about different colors, contrast, values, and drawing techniques. For this project we were supposed to draw a skull with different patterns and different values in it. To succeed I came up with patterns that have light or dark values. I learned how to come up with patterns and about light and dark values.
Two SLOs that I demonstrated in this project are Thinking Critically and Creatively and Self Directed Learner who Communicates Effectively. Thinking critically was demonstrated by me thinking about what patterns to use. I demonstrated communicating effectively by asking for ideas for patterns.
Two of the most important things I learned in this class are contrast and values. These skills will help me in the future if I have to do art some time.
Artist Presentation Reflection
In Art 1 we learn about different colors, contrast, values, and drawing techniques. For this project we were supposed to chose and artist and do an analysis and description of one of their pieces of art. For this project I chose John Trumbull who painted many historic paintings of the American Revolution. To succeed I did research on him and made a description of his art and analyzed his art.
Two SLOs that I demonstrated in this project were Thinking Critically and Creatively and Mastering Skills needed in Career and College. I demonstrated thinking critically when I analyzed and described his art. I demonstrated mastering skills for college and career by doing research on him and his art.
In this class the most important things I learned were analyzing art and researching artists and their art. These will help me if I need to research and artist or if I need to analyze someone's artwork.
